Fast and Furious

The Haigoods with their Admiral
We spent a furious few weeks preparing for our launch…getting everything in the Admiral (our RV)…emptying out the house...and saying “See you soon” to dear friends.  Each was hard in its own way…the latter being the hardest.

We launched Wednesday morning around 10 AM and made it to Alan’s sister’s home in Wichita Falls, Texas close to 1 AM.  We knew it was going to be long when we were eating dinner at the halfway point.  By this point, Caleb was already asking many times if we were there yet.

We quickly parked…got the boys in some sleeping bags in my sister’s house and crashed.  Thursday (Thanksgiving) we quickly packed some suitcases, headed to Jacksboro, TX, in our van to feast with Alan’s extended family…and then on to Arlington, TX, to spend a few days with Jill’s mother.

Joshua and Caleb big Truckers at Six Flags
Saturday we took some time to extend Micah’s birthday by going to Six Flags over Texas.  We ran into the Davidson Clan from St. Louis while we were there…small world.

We headed back to Wichita Falls yesterday to stay for a few days with Alan’s family.  We’ll head out in the Admiral Thursday for some stops in Texas.  We’ll be back with family later in December.
Micah and Nate at La Vibora (We remember it as Avalanche Bobsled)

Anyway, just figured we needed to post something so everyone knew we were alive and well.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
