Happy 11th Birthday Micah!!

Last month we celebrated Micah's 11th Birthday! Following our family tradition, Micah chose the menu and activities for his special day. He also had the day off from school! Micah decided he would love to spend the day building a new Lego set that he wanted. We ordered the Legos just in time to arrive for his birthday.

For breakfast, Micah chose donuts, orange juice and bacon. Yummy:)

After breakfast came the very important job of unwrapping presents!!! Daddy and brothers played a few jokes by wrapping up random things like cereal and cake mix...

After he opened all of his presents, we encouraged Micah to go ahead and look inside the Lego box...

 to find another surprise!!!! Beef jerky - a favorite snack!

One of Micah's presents was the Atari Flashback game system. (If you are over 30 years old, do you  remember games like Combat, Space Invaders, and Outlaw??) The boys had a blast playing these simple, "old school" games! It sure brought back memories for Alan and me!! It was hilarious!

In between games, Micah spent most of his time working on his new Lego set.  It was really rainy and cold, so it was perfect for staying inside and wearing pajamas all day!

For lunch, we had fancy homemade sub sandwiches and chips. Then, for dinner we had pizza, cake, and a movie.  Micah asked for an angel food cake with lemon icing.

 By the end of the day, his Lego set was finished!!! Great job Micah!

Micah is such an amazing young man!  He is an incredible son who is wonderful with helping and playing with his younger brothers.  He loves to read books, especially mysteries and biographies. Micah is very artistic...he is good at making things and working on projects (like Lego sets of course!). He is a very deep thinker, and often asks questions that I don't know the answers to! He is very kind and thoughtful to others.

Micah- I am so honored to be your Mom! Thank you for being who you are...you always make me smile! :)
