RV Q&A - How do you get your mail?

Time for another RV question! We get this question a lot:

How do you get your mail??

We joined an RV club called EscapeesRVClub and they provide a wonderful mail forwarding service for full time RVers like us. We pay them a membership fee based on the mail service we would like.  They give us an address to give out as our "home" address. We then contact them and let them know when we would like our mail and give them an address to the RV park we are staying at, or have them send it general delivery to the closest Post Office. On average, we are getting our mail once a week.  So, if you are mailing something to us, plan on it taking 1-2 weeks for us to receive it.

We actually had the opportunity to see the Mail Service building where our mail goes.  We even got a tour of the facility and we saw our "house" address that was literally a file folder among thousands of other folders for all the members.  Escapees Mail Service receives between 25,000-26,000 pieces of mail on average a day.  The busiest time is around Christmas and Mother's Day when they receive twice that amount of mail a day! Whew!  We were not allowed to take pictures inside the building because of homeland security laws, so here are a few from the outside!

Here is the mail truck delivering the mail!
Our street address is on Rainbow Drive - love it!

Blessings to you and yours,

Jill and the boys:)
