Happy 3rd Gotcha Day Joshua!!!!!

Last month we celebrated the 3rd Anniversary of Joshua's Gotcha Day!!! Joshua has been home with us for three years now!! We are so blessed!  His actual Gotcha Day was July 4th in the United States, but July 5th in Korea, so we felt like we celebrated all weekend!!  Three years ago, while our boys were watching fireworks with our friends Tom and Sally in St. Louis....Alan and I were in South Korea at the Children's Home having our last visit with Joshua's foster parents before we headed to the airport with him to come home.

During this past Independence Day weekend, we were staying at a campground in Pennsylvania that had an indoor water park.  We had a great time swimming, floating in the lazy river, and sliding down the water slides...

We also enjoyed some time cooking out and relaxing by the campfire...

Mountain pies...yummy!

For his special day, Joshua wanted a strawberry cake...

Every Gotcha Day anniversary, we give Joshua a gift from South Korea.  During our trip to Korea three years ago, we bought several items from a Korean marketplace.  We plan on giving him a gift every year until he turns 18.  We do also have a traditional Korean wedding gift for him someday:)

This year's gift was a Korean children's t-shirt...

Later that day we went to the theater to see Despicable Me 2.  We all enjoyed it...what a funny movie!

Joshua's choice for dinner...Wendy's Restaurant! :)

He was really excited about the frostys :)

Joshua---you are truly a blessing!  I am honored to be your Mom! I have learned so much about love, grace and patience the past three years.  You are an amazing boy and God has great plans for you!!  I am so grateful that your birth mother chose life. I am also so grateful for your foster family who took such wonderful care of you for over a year until we could come bring you home...forever! Thank you God for our forever family:)

Blessings to you and yours,

Jill and the boys:)
